Description:

Silicon carbide whiskers are cubic whiskers, with high hardness, large modulus, high tensile strength and high heat resistance temperature.

β-type silicon carbide whiskers have better toughness and electrical conductivity, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, especially earthquake resistance, corrosion resistance, and radiation resistance. They are mostly used on aircraft and missile shells, engines, high-temperature turbine rotors, and special components, etc..
